Mellon 7’s: Chester Blacksmith

Here is Thursday and another interview for Mellon 7’s. This time we got Chester Blacksmith who is currently on a 10 Pack East Coast summer tour. Read more to find out what was Chester’s worst injury, what he thinks about BMX community and more.

1. Name, Location, Sponsors.
Chester Blacksmith, Portland Oregon.
Wethepeople, Eclat, Shitluck Clothing, Lotek shoes.
2. The best place to ride.
Burnside Skate Park and Portland Oregon.
3. What do you think about BMX community?
I like that it’s still small. But being small has its draw backs as well. It can get a little out of hand with the Internet drama. People forget that it’s just people riding bicycles.
4. What was your worst injury on or off your bike?
Either breaking my Leg, or breaking my spleen.
5. Tell a joke for kids.
A man walks in to a bar with an alligator. Everyone in the bar stares at him like he’s crazy. He orders a drink form the bar tender. Soon people start asking about the Alligator. The man says: “I’ll bet everyone in this bar 20 dollars, that I can put my nuts in this alligator’s mouth, he will chomp down I’ll get em to release, and my nuts will be just fine!” So everyone in the bar puts in 20 bucks. The man pulls his nuts out, puts em on the alligator’s tongue, and it clamps down hard! People start screaming. The man pulls out a big stick and starts hitting the gator in the head as hard as he can! The Gator releases and his nuts are fine. Everyone in the bar is amazed! Then the man says: ” Now I’ll pay anyone in the bar the money I just won to try this!” Everyone in the bar is silent……Blond girl in the back says: “I’ll do it, but you can’t hit me in the head with that stick.”
6. What is your opinion about mellonBMX and online BMX contests?
I like the contest Idea. Gives the kids a chance to shine.
7. Who would you like to thank?
Family, Friends, and anyone that took me to a good spot or let me sleep on there floor. Thanks!
