Mellon 7’s – Eduards Zunda

It is one day before the end of the world, so yes, we need to quickly post a fresh new Mellon 7’s interview up here. This time we got Eduards Zunda from Latvia, who has been really busy this past year. He won this year’s The Hunt video contest (if you haven’t seen it yet, I recommend you to do it ASAP), recently got hooked up by Odyssey and dropped a few really great edits through the year. Take a little of your time and read what are Ed’s answers after the jump.

1. Name, Location, Sponsors.
Eduards Zunda from Latvia, Riga.
Ride for Simple Bikes, Vans, Odyssey, Pull-In, Mental, PARBMX local shop.
2. The best place to ride.
For the moment would be anywhere, where it’s not snowing and positive degrees!
3. What do you think about BMX community?
If we talk about the community, I think it’s pretty damn good, no matter where you go you’ll always be welcome. Just because we have the same passion and the same bike blood running through our veins.
4. What was your worst injury on or off your bike?
Maybe it’s not even an injury, but in a way it felt that way – my back didn’t work properly. That was the worst pain I had to live through during the whole year… Until I found the right people who knew how to fix that. Thanks to them!
5. Tell a joke for kids.
I got a joke about years back. We were little kids, riding our bikes at some shady dirt/box jump that was made right next to our house in a small, friendly city where I used to live – Saldus. You know how it is – kids. I saw two girls coming that I kind of liked, So I wanted to jump over the jump with a no-footer, which of course didn’t work out, haha. Ended up landing front wheel first and flipping over the bars, eating shit and girls laughing at me, haha.
6. What is your opinion about mellonBMX and online BMX contests?
I think it’s a good opportunity for people from all over the world to meet up in a way, but still doing the same thing in a different way.
7. Who would you like to thank?
There are way too many thanks that should go out, but I’ll keep it simple and thank my family, all the people who is most of the time around and my sponsors that keep my bike nice and my kicks with the best sole out there!
