For this week’s Mellon 7’s interview we caught up with Rodeo, California based rider and Ramp Rats Bike & Skatepark employee Nick Noble. Find out what is his opinion about the BMX community, what was his worst injury and more after the jump.
1. Name, Location, Sponsors.
Nick Noble, Rodeo, California.
2. The best place to ride.
My trails! Or yours too if you’re as picky as I am.
3. What do you think about BMX community?
The BMX community is parting ways over time. People don’t respect each others styles anymore, or even give props to guys they don’t know. Get pumped! Cheer your homies on!
4. What was your worst injury on or off your bike?
My worst injury riding was a 360 at my old dirt jump spot gone bad. R.I.P. Hillcrest. But my front tire washed out on the loose side of the landing, turned my bars, and my inner thigh landed on them. I thought it was just a Charlie horse. But my friend noticed I was bleeding. I in fact popped a hole in my leg and lost almost enough blood to kill me. Really happy I survived!
5. Tell a joke for kids.
Grab your tongue with your first two fingers and say apples. And then apologize to your parents for coursing. Lol
6. What is your opinion about mellonBMX and online BMX contests?
Mellon bmx is awesome for keeping these contests and updates going. It gives kids at home a shot to win cool stuff for trying their best.
7. Who would you like to thank?
Id like to thank Luke Otten owner of Zorg Bike Co for giving me the chance have my own signature frame… shhh! Marty at GT bikes for helping us nor cal over the years even before he left California. Aana at swearcrew.com for keeping me from being out of date when I ride with new clothes. And Mike Kranaich from Ramp Rats for giving us an awesome place to ride all these years! Oh ya, and thanks to Nikita at Fdv clothing as well! She has more heart than most riders out there!
